1. Joseph Stalin
He was born Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin in December 1878 in Gori Georgia towards the end of the 19th century. He is a controversial Russian dictator. He was influenced in his early years by political ideals of Vladimir Lenin. This motivated him to join the Bolsheviks when it started. He worked himself to an important position in the organization and played a vital role in the famous October Revolution. When the Bolsheviks took over power, he was elevated to the position of the General Secretary for the political party. He took advantage of his position and got rid of oppositions to become the supreme leader of Russia. He continued to rule Russia as a dictator until he died at the age of seventy-four.
Although he personally elevated Russia from being a backward country to become a world power, his actions resulted in the death of millions of people. Russia became the second nation to build a nuclear bomb during his tenure as a leader. After his demise, Nikita Khrushchev who took over the leadership of Russia dropped his legacy and started a de-Stalinization process.
2. Vladimir Putin
Vladimir was born on the 7th of October in 1952 in Saint Petersburg. He is a powerful politician and has served in many capacities in the government of Russia. He comes from a middle-class family. He always dreamt of becoming an intelligence officer since his childhood. Putin actualized his dream by joining the Russian intelligence agency also known as ‘KGB’ where he was trained to become an undercover agent. He later became involved in politics and resigned from his position in the KGB.
His diligent effort in caring for the welfare of the people soon earned him recognition and this earned him various positions in the Russian government. After the Boris Yeltsin stepped down as the president, he appointed Putin as his successor. He emerged as the winner in the elections held later on. He was also re-elected for a second tenure as the President of Russia
3. Irina Shaykhlislamova
Shaykhlislamova is a popular Russian actress and model as known as Irina Shayk. She started her career in modeling after her mother enrolled her in a beauty school. She relocated to Paris to formally begin her modeling career after she won the ‘Miss Chelyabinsk’ title in 2004. She had to struggle to fit in as a result of her inability to communicate in English. She was later featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2007 and this brought her some recognition. Since then, she has modeled for some famous brands like Victoria Secret, Lacoste, and Beach Bunny Swimwear. She once dated the football start, Cristiano Ronaldo.
4. Maria Sharapova
She is a professional tennis player. She was born on the 19th of April 1987. She began her sports career at the tender age of 14 years and had to pull through despite multiple injuries. Apart from sports, she has received endorsements from various brands as a result of her good looks and popularity.
